Phillip Brown Parsons was a painter and illustrator, born in West Medford, Massachusetts, in 1896. He studied at the Boston School of Painting and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as the Scott Carbee School of Art and Child Walker School of Art.

Good. The painting is wax lined and has scattered dots of in-paint, mostly found in the doorway and in a cluster below the dog. There are some sporadic dos of in-paint in the central figure’s pants and boots, in the two boys at right, and some minor retouch along the lower frame edge.
