VOSE | BARRIDOFF
AMERICAN FINE ART AUCTION
In the fall of 2024, Vose Galleries of Boston partnered with Barridoff Auctions of South Portland, Maine, to present the first annual American Fine Art Auction, held at the opulent Lenox Hotel Ballroom in Boston’s historic Back Bay. Featuring works by distinguished American artists, including Grandma Moses, Winslow Homer, Charles Woodbury, Benjamin Champney, and many more, this auction became the precursor for a whole new way for collectors to buy and sell with us.

“My family has always stood behind the paintings we sell. After over twenty years in the business, I have witnessed the art world weather recessions, global pandemics, and all manner of turbulence, but my passion for this field has never waivered. When the opportunity recently arose to step into the wild west of auctions, I looked back at the risks the previous five generations of Voses had taken during their tenures and knew that adaptation was paramount. The key, however, is maintaining the standards of quality, condition, and guaranteed authenticity that clients have come to expect of the gallery.
In October 2024, we were proud to be able to uphold our principles and deliver an experience involving the best of both worlds, adding another chapter to our storied history.”
