Winter Stream at Sunset
Signed lower left: W. L. PALMER
Description
The fondness for detail seen in Walter L. Palmer’s earlier interiors translated well to his landscapes, as every rock, twig, and snow-laden tree branch play a role in his carefully arranged winter symphonies. His textural brushwork and masterful understanding of sunlight, shadow, and color relationships enhance the understated beauty of the season. Winter Stream at Sunset contains all these celebrated elements of Palmer’s best work.
