Cindy House was drawn to nature at an early age and credits her mother, a natural history teacher and published wildlife photographer, with cultivating her appreciation for the splendor of New England’s ecosystems. Together they explored the region’s woodlands, meadows and beaches, taking pictures and field notes which helped Cindy refine her eye for composition and expand her knowledge of local flora and fauna, particularly with the bird denizens of a place.
