"Working on this paper allowed me to play with my mark-making. The strong stroke work in the grasses mirrors the marks in the sky giving a movement and dynamic energy to the painting. Working on black gives me the opportunity to work with more deeply pigmented colors – love the blues in the sky and golds in the grasses!"
