Vose Galleries has proudly held solo shows of Liz Haywood-Sullivan’s work in 2007, 2011, and 2019, and opened a fourth solo exhibition demonstrating her sensitivity to the seasonal rhythms of the natural world in the summer of 2021. Walk This Way was included in our 2019 exhibit and inspired the following from the artist: “Working on paper allowed me to play with my markmaking. The strong strokework in the grasses mirrors the marks in the sky giving a movement and dynamic energy to the painting. Working on black gives me the opportunity to work with more deeply pigmented colors – love the blues in the sky and golds in the grasses!”
