A The art world can be an intimidating place, even for seasoned collectors. In an effort to break down the mystique and make the art world more understandable, we set about creating a newsletter fourteen years ago that would contain information about practical, behind the scenes issues in the art world: analyses of prices, the auctions, restoration tips, framing guidelines, what's selling, what's not, under appreciated artists, good art publications, biographies and information on artists, and happenings in the art world. Our readers' response over the years has been so favorable that we thought adapting to today's world popular articles form the earlier issues would be a fitting way to mark our 165th anniversary.
